WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
NHS COVID-19 APP
Please make sure you have downloaded the NHS COVID-19 app to your phone before you attend your appointment. As you will need to scan my unique QR code as part of the NHS test & trace requirements.

You will not be required to fill in a declaration form if you have scanned the QR code upon entry.
All personal information is for the purpose of “track & trace” in the event of you or a member of your household developing Covid-19 symptoms or receiving a positive test result. Your data will be stored securely and will only be accessed by you and I.
If you or any member of your household develops COVID-19 symptoms or has tested positive within 14 days prior to your appointment, I MUST be notified immediately and you should NOT come to your appointment.
Those shielding as per government guidelines or self isolating should NOT attend.
ALL colour applications require you to have a skin test applied 48 hours prior to your appointment. This is because the period of time that has elapsed between applications is well over the manufacturers & insurance safety guidelines.
I will make a skin testing kit with instructions ready for you to pick up. I will require proof that you have done this and evidence before you arrive for your appointment that you have had NO skin reaction of any kind.
OTHER COLOUR USAGE
If you have applied ANY form of hair colouring product to your hair yourself during the period March 2020 – July 2020 you MUST tell me a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment; this is to allow for a product incompatibility test to be carried out on a small sample of your hair. Should any chemical reaction occur you will NOT be able to receive any chemical service.
In January 2020 I gave notice of a price increase on ALL colour services, due to take affect from April 1st 2020. This will still be implemented.
A small “temporary” charge or £2.50 will also be added your bill to cover the cost of extra PPE/CLEANING/SANITISING products required to ensure we are COVID safe as recommended by the government. This charge will remain in place until the UK Hair & Barber Council declares that PPE is no longer required.
PLEASE NOTE, ALL APPOINTMENTS WILL BE IN MY SALON, I WILL NOT BE DOING HOME VISITS.
PPE IS MANDATORY.
SMOKING/VAPING IS NOT PERMITTED AT ANYTIME DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN REFRESHMENTS, PLEASE DO NOT BRING FOOD AS EATING IS NOT PERMITTED AT ANY TIME DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT.
PAYMENT SHOULD BE EITHER VIA BANK TRANSFER OR CARD WHERE POSSIBLE.
Please come to your appointment ALONE. Wait in or near your car until you receive a message from me that it is safe to enter. I have to allow time between appointments to clean and sterilise. all equipment and surfaces.
When prompted to enter, please use the back entrance to the right hand side of the front door; the gate will be unlocked.
You will be required to wash and dry your hands and apply alcohol gel prior to entering the salon.
You will be required to wear a surgical style mask (provided). This MUST be worn:
During hair washing, cutting and blow-drying where possible.
For all colour applications. You may remove your mask during your colour development time, as I will leave the room. Outside shade space can also be used during this time.
With the new government guidelines introduced on 8/8/20 making the wearing of PPE mandatory, it is difficult to remain cool during the day. If at anytime the inside temperature is above 25 degrees Celsius, any form of heated styling will NOT be performed.
